The CSO GO platform is an online Hub where Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) can find and hire individual service providers (or firms where necessary) to provide key management services. The aim of the Hub is to provide quality services to CSOs at prices affordable to them. The Hub is intended to act as an intermediary platform providing a secure and convenient way to contract remote service providers for projects related to key management services required by CSOs.
Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) are essential to supporting national and regional developmental activities. Many of these groups perform key services for the country, including some of the most vulnerable sectors of society, often depending on the use of volunteers, short term staff and donors. One of the main challenges faced by CSOs is access to contracting service providers for projects related to key management functions, at prices affordable to them.
CSO GO, a deliverable of The NextGen Board of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and The Cropper Foundation (TCF), with TCF acting as the head coordinator, aims to provide a solution to this problem. The Hub creates a shared mechanism for CSOs to hire expertise at scale to increase their organisational capacity for effectiveness and efficiency, without having to take on the financial burden of full-time staff or depend on intermittent volunteers.
The Hub will be accessible to all registered Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) operating in Trinidad and Tobago.
